Virtus.pro finished third in Group D at ESL Pro League Season 18 thanks to a win over Liquid in the lower bracket finals. Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis ' team was one step away from dropping out of the championship.
Liquid had every chance to win 2:0, but on Ancient the team gave their opponents a 10:14 comeback, after being defeated on a Vertigo desiderider.
The best player at the end of the match was Ali "Jame" Djami with a KD of 60/34, a 6.8 rating and two clutch wins.
Liquid's next opponent in the last chance grid is Lynn Vision, who defeated 9INE today. The encounter with the Chinese squad will take place on September 24 at 13:30. A duel for a slot in the 1/16 finals will take place on the same day.
