Viewers dedicated 673 million hours to watching live streams of Counter-Strike on Twitch

The well-known analytical organization Streams Charts started to summarize the year 2023 on their official Twitter, specifically on the most popular platform for live broadcasts, Twitch.

By the end of this year, Counter-Strike fans spent 673 million hours watching live broadcasts of the game. Indeed, CS took the 5th place in the ranking of the most-watched categories on Twitch for the year 2023.

The winner of the category, of course, was Just Chatting, where we all know what happens. Namely, how charming girls sit in pools and sweetly communicate with their fans. A total of 3.072 billion hours were spent on this category. But let's move on.

The fourth place in this top was taken by Grand Theft Auto V. Of course, the announcement of the next series of the game had a significant impact, but in general, GTA has been in the top for views in all the previous years. Viewers watched a total of 1.3 billion hours of Grand Theft Auto V.

Next was League of Legends, on which viewers spent 980 million hours of their time. Its direct competitor, namely Dota 2, took only the 8th place with its 546 million hours of views.

And here's the sensation. Valorant took fourth place in this ranking with 980 million hours of viewing, surpassing Counter-Strike, which has only 673 million hours of viewing.

This year, something is clearly not going right for Valve's games. But what could help them regain their former glory?
