The Argentinian team BESTIA has encountered unforeseen problems ahead of their participation in the ESL Challenger Atlanta with a prize pool of $100,000. Due to visa issues, players Luciano "luchov" Herrera and Tomás "tomaszin" Corna will miss the tournament in the USA. Instead, experienced players Roberto "reversive" Themtham and Nicolás "NikoM" Miozzi will join the team.
This change is a significant blow for BESTIA, which won the South American qualifier for Atlanta by defeating the team Imperial in the final. The absence of the strongest individual players could significantly affect the team's performance.
The replacements, reversive and NikoM, are known for their achievements in the Counter-Strike scene in Argentina. 31-year-old reversive last played for team LRV at the CCT South America Series 9 in August, and 26-year-old NikoM has not appeared in competitions since October 2020.
BESTIA is in Group B of the tournament along with teams Monte, Virtus.pro, and M80. This event will be BESTIA's second international appearance since signing with the organization in February, following their participation in Americas RMR. In Monterrey, the team finished 9-12th.
