Ninjas in Pyjamas , one of the most famous esports organizations, is preparing for a complete roster reboot with Counter-Strike 2 for 2025. According to HLTV and journalist Guillaume 'neL' Rathier, the organization plans to sign four new players, leaving only Artem 'r1nkle' Moroz as the main sniper.
Reasons for the roster changes
In recent years, NiP has been gradually losing ground on the professional scene. Since the triumph at IEM Oakland 2017, the team has not won a single S-level tournament. In 2024, NiP missed both majors and finished the season outside the top 30 in the world rankings.
Who can join?
According to sources, NiP is in talks with the following players:
- Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, a 34-year-old Danish captain who previously played for the Falcons, is to lead the new project.
- Rasmus “sjuush” Beck is the only player left in Heroic after the team was disbanded.
- Michel “ewjerkz” Magalhães and Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing are a Portuguese duo who previously defended the colors of SAW. They reached the semifinals of IEM Cologne 2024.
If these players are signed, NiP will start 2025 with a zero Valve rating, as the team will not have a ready-made core.
The end of the REZ era
Comments from NiP were restrained:
“We are in contact with many players and are considering various combinations. However, nothing has been finalized yet,” the team representative said.
A new NiP lineup is possible:
- Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer
- Rasmus “sjuush” Beck
- Michel “ewjerkz” Magalhães
- Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing
- Artem “r1nkle” Moroz
- Coach: Richard “Xizt” Landström
We are currently waiting for official confirmation of the transfers.
