In the opening match of the Skin.Club Summer Cup 2024, TSM showcased their newly revamped roster with a solid performance against Passion UA, securing a 1-0 victory on Inferno. The match ended with a scoreline of 13-5, highlighting TSM's strategic depth and firepower, particularly through Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså, who not only earned the MVP but also boasted a remarkable 7.8 rating.
TSM's strategy seemed robust, as evidenced by their ability to consistently win rounds and keep their economy strong throughout the game. Valde, backed by impressive support from his teammates including Nikolaj "Niko" Kristensen who also posted a 7.8 rating, was crucial in navigating the team through critical rounds.
On the side of Passion UA, despite a strong effort from Nikita "jackasmo" Skyba and Dmytro "Jambo" Semera who both ended the game with a 6.8 and 6.5 rating, the team struggled to convert their plays into round wins. This initial loss places them at the bottom of their group, making their path in the tournament decidedly more challenging.
The tournament itself carries a total prize pool of €15,000, with the winner set to take home €12,000, adding extra motivation for the teams competing. TSM’s win places them in a favorable position in Group B, setting a positive tone for their campaign in this B-tier online event hosted in Europe.
This victory is particularly significant for TSM as it marks the beginning of their journey with the new lineup, aiming to establish themselves once more as a formidable force in the Counter-Strike 2 arena. The community and fans are eager to see how this lineup evolves and competes in the upcoming matches of the Skin.Club Summer Cup.
