GRID Esports has announced that the LAN finals of the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 will take place in Berlin on November 2 and 3. The tournament will have a prize pool of $850,000, making it one of the most anticipated events in the esports world.
Tournament format
In the first stage of the competition, from October 21 to 26, 16 teams will compete in the online part of the tournament. They will play through the elimination bracket in the BO3 format, where each match is crucial. Only the top four teams will continue to compete at the LAN final in Berlin. The same format will be used for the LAN final, with an additional match for third place.

The second Thunderpick tournament
This is the second iteration of the Thunderpick World Championship. Last year, FaZe won the tournament in the online format and received $250,000 for the first place. This year, the prize pool for the winner has grown to $500,000, which significantly increases the level of competition and motivation for teams.
