The MongolZ won the LAN tournament MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2024 in Ulaanbaatar. The tournament took place from May 28 to June 2, with a prize pool of $100,000, where The MongolZ received $50,000 for first place.
In the grand final against the new BLEED roster, The Mongolz managed to win three times. The first map was Anubis, chosen by BLEED, where they immediately started outplaying their opponents and took the map with a score of 13-10. The second map, Mirage, was chosen by The MongolZ who also won with a mirrored score of 13-10. The third map of this grand final took place on Ancient, chosen by BLEED, who this time lost with a close score of 13-11, giving up a comeback from 4-8. The fourth map of this match was Inferno, again chosen by The MongolZ, who immediately took 5 rounds in a row. In the second half, BLEED managed to replicate a similar success, but it was not enough, and The MongolZ won with a score of 13-11, winning the tournament with a score of 3-1.
The best player of the grand final was Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad with a rating of 6.4, but despite this, the MVP of the tournament was Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch, finishing the tournament with a rating of 6.8. This victory became the biggest for the organization as a whole. It's also worth noting the progress of BLEED, for whom this LAN was the first in the history of their organization, and following the roster update which included jkaem and nawwk.
Following their triumph at ESL Pro League Season 19, The MongolZ continued to impress at this local tournament. The next tournament for the team will be YaLLa Compass 2024, which will take place in Abu Dhabi from June 5 to 9, with a prize pool of $400,000.
