The first place in the Counter-Strike 2 ladder is held by a girl with the nickname 月光. Streamer Mark ohnePixel found out details about the leader of the ranked matchmaking during a Twitch broadcast, having a conversation with her and her teammate.
The girl shared that her FACEIT rating is around 3 thousand ELO, and in CS2 she plays in a group of five people on North American servers. After completing the calibration with a score of 9:1, she received a rating of 19 thousand. At the time of the conversation with ohnePixel, her team suffered the only defeat in 55 matches when they played against Ricky 'floppy' Kemery and Johnny 'JT' Teodosio from Complexity Gaming.
月光 added that the CS2 rating does not depend on individual player performance. Neither she nor her teammates could figure out exactly how the system awards points. The girl believes that she is still in first place thanks to a large number of games played. In her opinion, esports players can easily overtake her if they dedicate enough time to it.
A global update for CS2 was released on the night of September 1. As part of the patch, developers introduced a new ranking system, added the Inferno map to the game, and began large-scale distribution of beta test invitations. You can learn more about the update by following the link.
