TenZ dissatisfied with quality of knife from Valorant Champions 2023 set

Today, a video snippet featuring Tyson "TenZ" Ngo, a member of the Sentinels team, appeared online. In it, he shares his thoughts on the knife from the new set dedicated to the Valorant World Championship.

During one of the matches that TenZ streamed on Twitch, he commented on the new knife from the championship set that he is currently using. According to the professional player, he doesn't particularly like the knife because it lacks a special inspection animation, and he thinks the knife itself could have been much better.

I don't really like the knife," he said. "I feel like the knife could have had a much cooler animation. I mean, the draw animation looks cool, but there's no special inspection animation. It's a bit sad.

As a reminder, the knife was recently released along with the Valorant Champions 2023 set, you can read more about the entire set in our article.

Community Reaction

The new knife hasn't found much support among the general audience either, with players expecting something grandiose in the most anticipated set of 2023, and instead getting something of average quality. The game community criticizes it for a lack of animations and effects, especially noting the circular hole inside the knife, which looks very empty. The knife is also referred to as a failed parody of the Skeleton Knife from CS:GO.
