Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich, a player for team M80, shared his impressions of the level of North American teams and his experience playing on this continent. After moving from European teams Sprout and ALTERNATE aTTaX to M80, slaxz- notes that training in North America is tough due to late starts and fewer strong teams compared to Europe.
According to him, the team continues to improve, winning every match after their first game. This, in slaxz-'s opinion, indicates significant progress and growth of the team. He also expressed satisfaction with his role in the team and positively assessed the changes in his approach to the game.
Since I joined them (M80), we have been playing super well. I must say it's a little bit hard to practice in NA just because practice usually starts super late, and there aren’t as many good teams in comparison to Europe. Sometimes we play badly and sometimes we have our struggles, but we ended up winning every single match after that. So I think we are improving and we show up no matter what and that's a great sign.
slaxz- talked about his experience playing at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2023, where M80 faced teams like Virtus.pro. Despite a 6:6 loss in the first half of the game against VP, slaxz- believes that the team showed a worthy level of play.
slaxz- has set the goal of getting team M80 into the top-20 of the world ranking and participating in the Major as the main goals for next year. He emphasized the team's ambition to fight and improve, which is key to their future success.
