The demand for tickets to the Shanghai Major 2024 was incredibly high. The first round of tickets for the group stage, as well as all tickets for the playoffs, were sold out in just 20 minutes, as reported by the tournament representative on X. Chinese fans have shown great interest in the biggest CS2 tournament of the year.
Perfect World, the organizer of the tournament, confirmed that at the time of writing, the second round of ticket sales for the group stage is ongoing. At the same time, international fans have the opportunity to purchase tickets from a separate quota of seats, which is also selling out quickly.
Ticket prices
Tickets for the playoffs were available in four different tiers, depending on the location in the hall:
- Tier 1: $300-$469 - seats with the best view of the stage, closest to the action.
- Tier 2: $200-$299 - mid-level seats.
- Tier 3: $150-$199 - a more affordable option with less favorable positions.
- Tier 4: $89 - the cheapest option for tickets located in the farthest parts of the arena.
The cost of tickets varied depending on the package chosen: tickets could be bought for one day or two days of the playoffs, which further increased the price. The first two days (December 12-13) include the quarterfinals, while the semifinals and final will take place on December 14-15.

Event organization
The tournament will be held at the Shanghai Pudong Bank Basketball Center, which can accommodate up to 13,000 spectators. The tournament will feature a central stage that will allow maximum visibility for each spectator. Perfect World also noted that a variety of fan zones and activities will be organized during the tournament for the convenience of spectators.
