Riot Games announced over 40 events during the VALORANT OFF//SEASON interlude

Today, an announcement appeared on the official Riot Games website about the upcoming tournaments that will take place after the conclusion of the world championship. Over 40 events categorized under the OFF//SEASON title will be held in 3 main regions: Pacific, Americas, EMEA.

It should be noted that after the Valorant Champions 2023 world championship, there will be no major tier-1 events until the beginning of the next season. All events listed are exclusively tier-2,3,4 tournaments, show matches, and LAN events. According to Riot Games, the OFF//SEASON exists so that teams can prepare for the next competitive VCT season. As most teams expect reshuffles after the world championship concludes, organizations will be making roster changes for Valorant and testing new players. The OFF//SEASON serves as a platform to gauge the performance of new players without teams having to compete at full strength.

Interestingly, there are only 3 regions where OFF//SEASON events will take place, meaning Riot hasn't yet included the newly established Chinese region in the competitive lineup. Most likely, China will officially emerge as the 4th region at the beginning of the next season in 2024. This is supported by the fact that the next VCT Masters 2024 event will be held in Shanghai, signaling China's inclusion in the Valorant competitive series. More details about the announcement of the next Masters can be read in our material. The developers also mentioned that this isn't the end, and more information about the OFF//SEASON will be announced in the coming weeks.

This is just the first of many announcements, and over the next few weeks, we will also be releasing additional information about how Challengers will evolve for the 2024 season, as well as details about Global Events and International League Play.

A reminder the current focus is on the Valorant Champions 2023 world championship, where 16 teams are vying for a massive prize pool of $2,250,000. You can follow the tournament and all related news on our website.
