Monte defeated TYLOO, while Nouns surprised Eternal Fire. The first results of ESL Challenger Jonköping 2023

In Sweden, another tournament of the ESL Challenger series has begun, taking place in the city of Jönköping. At this time, the first round of Group A was played at ESL Challenger Jonköping 2023, which had its share of unexpected results.

The event kicked off with the match between Monte and TYLOO, which was played in a BO1 format on the Anubis map. The Ukrainian team was the clear favorite as they consistently perform well in major tournaments and hold the eighth position in the ESL ranking.

As a result, the match ended with Monte's total domination and a victory with a score of 13:5. The best player of the map was Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev, who received a rating of 8.5 and had a statistics of 21:10.

In the second match of Group A, Nouns faced Eternal Fire. The Turks appeared to be the clear favorites on paper but couldn't cope with their less renowned opponent and lost with a score of 13:11 on Vertigo. The star of the match, with a rating of 7.7, was Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado.

In the next round of Group A, Monte and Nouns will play for a spot in the playoffs, while TYLOO and Eternal Fire will face each other in the elimination match. In the other group, Virtus.pro and 3DMAX, as well as GamerLegion and MIBR, will play their first matches.
