Monte became European Pro League Season 6 champions.
In the final, the Ukrainian team met with the Polish team Paloma. The match ended with a score of 3-0 in favor of Monte.
The dominance of Monte in the playoffs
After not the most confident performance in the tournament's group stage, the team fully revealed itself in the playoffs. If the Ukrainian team could have lost the first match, all other games ended with the superiority of Monte. The team didn't lose a single map, starting from the upper semi-finals, and showed the highest level of performance.
Not the easiest final
Although the event's final ended with a score of 3-0, it cannot be said that it was easy for Monte. Each map ended in a close-scoring fight, which turned the usual match into a battle of endurance. Despite this, the team's two leaders, sdy and Woro2k, were able to take the game into their own hands and win the match for the team.
However, everything turned out to be more complex, and after the match, sdy explained why the game was so difficult.
Cheaters in the final of the event
After the end of the game, sdy wrote a long post about why it was so difficult for the team to play in the final and throughout the tournament.
We won the European Pro League, it's finally over, and I can write. As a tournament operator, you should never invite team paloma/permitta to your tournament. If you analyze their demo, they will obviously use cheats. I hope I will never play against them. This is a disgrace to our Counter-Strike scene, and I will not be silent. You should use any anti-cheat, regardless of the level of the tournament.
Earlier, many players suspected the Permitta team of cheating, but only sdy spoke in such detail. Paloma is the former Permitta, the organization refused the roster of Poles, and now they play in the status of a mix.
And the suspicion of Permitta is visible even without analyzing their demo. The team beats almost all opponents in the 3rd and 4th round tournaments, but as soon as they reach the serious stages, they lose very quickly. This happened at the Play-In IEM Katowice 2023 and at the open qualifiers at RMR. Perhaps, for this reason, the organization refused the roster.
The five have already been accused of playing several times unfairly, but neither ESIC nor the tournament operators have started an investigation against this team. After this message, they may pay attention to the problem.
How was the prize fund distributed?
Became European Pro League Season 6 champions, Monte earned $11,000, Paloma took home $5,000, MOUZ NXT won $3,000, and PROSPECTS received $1,000.
