On December 20, the Ukrainian esports organization Monte announced significant changes to its roster. After the end of the season, coach Piotr “nawrot” Nawrocki left the team, and player Kamil “KEi” Pietkun was transferred to the bench.

KEi is transferred to the bench

The 23-year-old Polish player joined Monte in August 2024, replacing Martin “STYKO” Styk as the team transitioned to a Polish-speaking roster. During his four months with the team, KEi showed a 6.1 rating and helped Monte reach the semifinals of the ESL Challenger Katowice 2024. However, despite the efforts, the team failed to achieve significant team achievements.

Monte announced the decision via social media, thanking KEi for their professionalism and dedication. It is still unknown what the player's future holds. At the same time, fans are actively discussing the return of Volodymyr “woro2k” Veletniuk, who previously represented Monte, to the team.

The departure of nawrot

Coach Piotr “nawrot” Nawrocki, who joined the team in September 2024 after the departure of Sergiy “lmbt” Bezhanov, is also leaving Monte. His work with the organization lasted only a few months. Monte thanked the coach for his contribution and wished him success in the future.

Rumors about the return of  Volodymyr “woro2k” Veletniuk  to Monte are actively spreading in the community. The player previously represented the team and achieved a number of successes with it, including reaching the quarterfinals of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

Monte's social networks only fueled the interest: a post hinting at the return of woro2k appeared, but was quickly deleted. Whether it was an announcement or a bad joke from the SMM manager remains a mystery.

Monte is actively preparing for the new season. Changes in the roster may be the beginning of a new stage in the team's history that will determine its position in the Counter-Strike 2 tournament arena.
