After two previous unsuccessful attempts to sign the player, MIBR finally managed to reach an agreement. Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves has officially joined the team, replacing Breno “brnz4n” Poletto, as confirmed by a report from Dust2.com.br on September 4.

The long road to signing
Lucaozy was linked to MIBR back in late 2022, and a second attempt, which included a $280,000 offer, also failed in May 2024. However, almost two years later, the club managed to complete the transition.
The signing of Lucaozy came as a surprise even to team leader Andre “drop” Abreu, who did not expect the move during MIBR's impressive performance at the ESL Pro League.
“I'm not going to lie, I didn't know anything,” said drop. “I just woke up and saw the news 'MIBR is in talks with Lucaozy' and I was like 'BIT, nak, what the f... is that'.”
New challenges for MIBR
With the change in personnel, MIBR faces the challenge of integrating Lucaozy's considerable firepower without disrupting the structure that has propelled the team to the second-ranked position in Brazil. The fact that Lucaozy fulfills almost the same roles on the T-side as Felipe “insani” Yugi creates an additional challenge, although on the CT-side a better combination is possible if drop returns to his former anchor position.
MIBR lineup after Lucaozy signing
With Lucaozy in the lineup, the MIBR team now looks like this:
Renato “nak” Nakano remains the team's coach, while Breno “brnz4n” Poletto has been transferred to the bench.
