The captain of the FaZe team, Finn "karrigan Anderson, shared his thoughts on yesterday's confrontation with Nikola "NiKo Kovacs in a match against G2. FaZe made it to the semifinals of the legendary tournament in Poland, where they will meet MOUZ.

The Dane said that playing against strong opponents like NiKo requires unconventional approaches. He emphasized that the key moments of the match point to the importance of strategic thinking and unconventional actions to achieve success.

"If you want to outsmart a player like NiKo, you have to play outside the rules. There were a few rounds when he could have killed me, but I think he was a little surprised by the way I swung at him. Those were the key moments on Inferno - on Ancient I can't remember if there was anything special, but in some key rounds on Inferno I definitely felt the matches against NiKo.

In the first duels, karrigan had an advantage with a score of 1:5, and out of 21 kills on both maps, 10 were on NiKo. The FaZe captain finished the match with a rating of 5.4, and the Bosnian with 5.0. It should be noted that the match ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of FaZe Clan.

By the way, karrigan and Niko played together for FaZe Clan since March 2019, before the Bosnian left for G2 in October 2020. In the semifinals, FaZe will meet MOUZ, while Spirit and Falcons will compete for the final. The winner of IEM Katowice 2024 will receive $400,000 and a slot at IEM Cologne 2024.
