Istanbul Wildcats continue to get rid of their players

Istanbul Wildcats have decided not to renew the contract with experienced Turkish player Göktuğ Canciğer, known as XiSTOU. He announced this news on his Twitter page, also noting that he is actively looking for a new team in the role of a Sentinel or Controller.

In light of IW's various plans, I'm looking for a new team without a current contract.
My plans may vary depending on the roster, but my first choice is to play in the roles of SENTINEL or CONTROLLER.

The organization recently said goodbye to three other players, leaving only two players, Andrey "BraveAF" Gorchakov and Artur "7ssk7" Kyurshin, who are both not citizens of Turkey, in the Turkish team. From this, it can be inferred that the three new players joining the team must be citizens of Turkey, as they would otherwise not be able to participate in the next season of the league.

Unsatisfactory journey of the team in the season

At the end of 2022, before the start of the Turkish league, the organization strengthened its roster by signing three new players and a coach in order to qualify for the main Tier-2 stage of VCL Ascension: EMEA 2023. The updated roster made its debut at VCL Turkey: Birlik Split 1 2023, but showed unsatisfactory results, finishing 5-6th place. After that, the team underwent some roster changes and took part in VCL Turkey: Birlik Split 2 2023, where they showed an even worse result, finishing 8th.

Due to such a disappointing result this season, Istanbul Wildcats decided to completely rebuild their roster for the next season. The organization will focus on recruiting experienced players who can bring new energy and strategies to the team. The goal of Istanbul Wildcats for the next season is to return to the top of the table and achieve significant achievements in European competitions.
