ISSAA: “This game is in my blood” - about returning to Counter-Strike

Issa “ISSAA” Murad, former HellRaisers and OG player, talks to HLTV about his return to Counter-Strike from VALORANT, his ambitions with the revamped JiJieHao roster, and goals.

At the recently concluded Esports World Cup, ISSAA team, JiJieHao surprised many by leaving the tournament after one match. The Jordanian star, who attracted attention with his move from Counter-Strike to VALORANT in 2022, has now returned to the CS scene.

ISSAA detailed his reasons for initially moving to VALORANT - mainly a desire to complete his university education with a less busy tournament schedule compared to CS. I always felt like I wanted to go back to CS. Inside myself, I wanted to go back. After graduation, I saw CS2 coming out and I said: “Okay, that's it for me.” When I posted on Twitter, I said I wanted to get a CS offer just because this game is in my blood.

JiJieHao will do full training. Their main goal is RMR. They will have about three weeks, I think. ISSAA thinks they will rest a bit now, about a week. Maybe we'll play a few tournaments before RMR, but I'm not sure about that yet. He's talked to his team and he doesn't know for sure. But their main goal is to train for RMR. Maybe they'll get more invites to these tier 2 dash tournaments, so it's 50/50 right now. Maybe we just need a higher ranking to play in these tournaments and get invites to them.

In my opinion, he's a really good player. Now we just need more official experience to get him pumped up again. I'm happy to play with him
he finished by saying about Kjaerbye

The team's next tournaments are still unknown, but on August 7th the list of invited teams for the closed qualifications for RMR and RMR itself will be known. A team needs to be ranked among the top teams in their region to get an invitation.
