In the latest CS2 update, VALVE started to fight against cheaters

The latest update has “fixed” the rapidfire in several popular cheats, it is not known whether if it's permanent or not, but cheat providers are already trying to work around it.

Rapidfire is a feature that allows you to fire all the bullets in a magazine in one shot. A well-known YouTuber, Gabe Follower, shared information that the latest update “fixed” the rapidfire feature in several major cheats. However, it is not certain whether this is a permanent solution, as cheat providers are already looking for ways to work around this limitation.

Gabe Follower noted that the update also includes new trackers for events in the game:

  • Who injured the player
  • Who attacked the player
  • How far the bullet traveled before hitting
  • How many surfaces were pierced
  • Whether the shooter was in the air
  • Whether the shot was made without a sight

Also, official game servers in London were added and the effects of penetrating thin walls were reduced. Added Major 2024 trophies in Copenhagen to player profiles and expanded customization options for Counter-Strike 2 Workshop tools.

This step is important, but time will tell how effective it will be in the long run. Cheaters always find new ways to get around restrictions, but players hope that Valve will continue to work on improving the game's security.
