Career s1mple
Since October 2023, s1mple has been on the NAVI bench where he left of his own accord, funny enough he left the team before IEM Sydney 2023 which was the first CS2 major tournament. After that he didn't play a single map in CS2, but in February 2024 he joined Falcons as a rental for 1 tournament, where the team lost the first match against Metizport 1-2.
After that s1mple left the team and sits on the bench, during which time he managed to open his own school, but it has already closed. Now he sometimes does live broadcasts and hints at a return to big CS, but how soon it will be is unknown.
Comment from s1mple and the owner of Aurora
S1mple commented on the information that 3 is too few. It is clear that this response was made in a joking way, because a player cannot divulge the details of his contract because it is forbidden under the terms of the same contract.
Aurora team owner, L3rich replied that he is willing to pay this amount if Aurora makes it to the top 3 of The International 2024. Aurora is currently in the quarterfinals of the top group, where it will face Team Liquid.
Opportunity to play for Cloud9
Yesterday, s1mple had the opportunity to play for Cloud9 as part of Thunderpick World Championship 2024 EU Closed Qualifier 2. During yesterday's stream, Boombl4 wrote in the chat where he called s1mple to play a map for them as a substitute because their sniper ICY was having problems.
To which s1mple replied that he was ready, just need to write to Amiran (Head of NAVI Cybersports Department). And from the fact that he didn't play you can understand that he didn't reply quickly or banned. According to s1mple at that moment you could understand that he really wants it, but for one factor or another it didn't happen.
Conclusion
A lot of people are waiting for King to come back, but apparently one of the reasons why he's not performing is his contract. Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov is a great replacement for him on the main roster, and other organizations simply can't afford to pay that much money for him right now because he hasn't played on the professional scene in over a year.
