"I will take it slow and see what happens" – dupreeh on managing a packed tournament schedule

If you think Counter-Strike teams are already playing a lot of tournaments, the new year will be a shock. The schedule will become even more packed, with tournaments happening almost every week. In this context, Dust2.dk asked dupreeh how he manages to cope with such pressure.

dupreeh's Experience and Adaptation

dupreeh, one of the top-performing players for Falcons, shared his thoughts on the upcoming changes: "I know there will be pressure, and everything will be different. Right now, I think everyone is talking about it: 'The schedule will be so tight, and we will just be traveling for so many months and playing.' However, he is not rushing to conclusions: "I've been on the scene for so many years, and often when changes happen, people quickly paint the devil on the wall in a week. So I think I will take it slow and see what happens."

IEM Cologne and dupreeh's Goal

One of dupreeh's main goals is to win IEM Cologne – a tournament he has never won. In early August, he and his team Falcons will start their journey in the Play-in stage, which is unusual for dupreeh, who is used to direct invitations to the main event. "Of course, it's a downside that we're not in the main event yet. We haven't shown enough results to deserve a spot, so of course, it's fair," acknowledges dupreeh.

Challenges and Motivation

Another crucial task for the Falcons is maintaining their position in the Valve rankings to secure an invitation to the RMR or closed qualifiers. "To get there, you need to work, and many other teams are in the same situation. At the same time, I think it's beneficial for us to get a reality check and understand that this is something we need to work on and that you are not just invited to everything," says dupreeh.

Concluding Thoughts

The busy schedule and high expectations create new challenges for players, but dupreeh remains optimistic and ready to keep fighting. His main goal is to win IEM Cologne, but even if it doesn't work out, he won't change course. "We just have to accept it and then continue working with what we have and believe in it," concludes dupreeh.
