The online stage of the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 has concluded, and teams HEROIC, The MongolZ, OG, and 3DMAX have earned spots for the LAN finals, which will take place on November 2-3 in Berlin, where the teams will compete for a $770,000 prize pool. Ahead of the major Perfect World Shanghai Major RMR, this will be the last official appearance for HEROIC, The MongolZ, and 3DMAX.

The final stage of the Thunderpick World Championship is attracting interest, as for many teams it has become not only the last challenge before major competitions but also an opportunity to test new lineups. For example, OG replaced the recently banned Bram "Nexius" Campana with Jakub "M1key" Krausko from UNiTY, allowing them to gain additional experience before the LAN stage.

Results of Decisive Matches

On the final day of the online tournament, HEROIC faced off against fnatic, finishing the series on two maps thanks to the stellar performance of René "TeSeS" Madsen, who achieved a rating of 8.1, allowing his team to confidently advance to the next stage.

 
 

3DMAX demonstrated a high level of play against the Argentine team BESTIA, starting the series with a crushing score of 13-4 on Inferno. However, BESTIA did not go down without a fight, clinching a victory on Ancient with a score of 22-18 in triple overtime, before 3DMAX took Anubis with a score of 13-9, securing their spot in the LAN finals.

 
 

Meanwhile, OG defeated BIG, losing the first map Dust2 with a score of 9-13, but confidently coming back on Anubis, winning 13-11, and ended the series on Ancient with a score of 13-1, denying the Germans the chance to play on home soil.

 
 

The MongolZ faced Imperial, starting the series with an overtime victory on Dust2, but then fell on Mirage with a score of 6-13. In the decisive battle on Inferno, the Mongolian team claimed victory with a score of 13-8, knocking Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo's team out of the tournament.
