[Exclusive] KSCERATO after reaching IEM Cologne 2025 quarterfinals: "Hard work pays off, and finally we did it"

After FURIA's emotional breakthrough to the IEM Cologne 2025 playoffs, team player KSCERATO KSCERETO spoke exclusively to Bo3.gg. He reflected on the struggles of reaching the top eight, the experience of building an international roster, and the surprising impact of star molodoy.

So hello KSCERETA, congratulations on advancing to the playoffs. How are you feeling?

Bro, we finally did it. I think it's my sixth Cologne, and we’ve never qualified for the playoffs before. So I’m really happy we finally made it. We’ve been working a lot, fixing a lot of things, changing a lot in our game — even outside the game. I’m really glad our fight paid off. It’s hard work paying off. Yeah.

You got your revenge on G2. That must have felt especially good in such an important decider match, right?

Oh, of course. Beating G2 in a decisive match is always a good feeling.  We won the first map, but we knew they’re really good on Inferno. It was pretty tough to play against malbsMd — he’s a very aggressive player. We knew that going in.  It was hard, but we did it.

In the quarterfinals, you’ll face MOUZ. How do you rate your chances in that matchup, and how will you prepare?

I think we have a couple of days to prepare. Our game is on Friday, right? Yeah, Friday. So now we have time. It’s Thursday right now, I think — so we have a little time to work, fix the mistakes we made, and figure things out.  I’d say our chances are pretty even with them.

Since YEKINDAR and molodoy joined the team, you've been playing with a whole new energy. How did you decide to go for an international roster? It's quite rare for Brazilian teams.

Yeah, at one point we had to do it. In Brazil, the teams are always stacked — like paiN, MIBR — there’s no real way to get those players.  So we saw the opportunity to bring in YEKINDAR and molodoy. That kid was sick. He played a great series today. So we just decided to go international because it felt right at the moment. This is our third playoffs — first was at the PGL Astana 2025, and now here. I’m really happy we went international.

Is it hard to communicate in English and understand the info clearly? In-game, it’s not too hard. But sometimes we do mess up communication — depends how you’re feeling, how focused you are during the games. I think that’s normal. Even in Portuguese it happens. But I think everyone understands each other, and we’re on the same page.

How would you evaluate molodoy progress since joining the team?

He’s a pretty good player, bro. We’ve been fixing a lot of things — he had some problems with flashes, grenades — but he’s improving.  He’s learning how to throw the utility properly now, and he’s doing well. That kid’s going to be amazing.

And finally — what YEKINDAR of impact has decenty had on the team so far?

He’s been really solid in the roles he plays. He helps a lot in the game. I think everyone’s in good shape and helping each other.  He’s had a great impact on CT sides. On every map he plays a lot of what we call ‘star positions’, so we’re doing good.

When you were playing, I was standing nearby — your team was laughing a lot. Not just you, but all of you. Who's the funniest one on the team?

I don't even remember exactly. A lot of stuff happened during the game, and we were just having fun with it — like how someone got a kill, or how molodoy crossed mid on eco and killed a guy.  We got that round, and it was pretty funny. We're enjoying the game.
