HEROIC showed their skill and endurance as they defeated Falcons 2-0 in the lower grid final of the IEM Rio 2024 indoor qualifiers. The match was played on the Mirage and Dust 2 maps, where HEROIC managed to pull off a solid victory, winning 13:9 on Mirage and 13:6 on Dust 2.
With the loss, the Falcons extended their losing streak to 4 in a row. Which is not a good thing amidst the recent rumors of NiKo joining the lineup.
Match Details
Both maps were pretty intense. But in each half on each map HEROIC were stronger and looked fresher and cooler. On the second map in all the half ended with the score 8-4 in their favor, which is confident considering the choice of opponent.
About IEM Rio 2024
IEM Rio 2024 is one of the biggest tournaments of the season and will be held from October 7-13 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The tournament, organized by ESL, will have a total prize pool of $250,000. The winner will receive $100,000 and qualification to IEM Katowice 2025. The tournament also gives teams the opportunity to earn important points to qualify for the Intel Grand Slam.
