FURIA advance to the playoffs of IEM Rio 2024, playing on their home arena

FURIA unexpectedly showed an excellent result for the second game in a row, thus advancing to the playoffs of IEM Rio 2024 and will play on the home stage with an audience of over 15,000 people.

The third map was Dust 2, where FURIA showed confidence in the first half and won it with a score of 9-3, which was unexpected again. In the second half, they lost the pistol round, but it did not stop them from winning. They won 4 rounds in a row and secured the match victory with a score of 13-5.

FaZe vs. paiN

The first map was Dust 2, paiN's choice, where they performed poorly and lost the first half with a score of 10-2. In the second half, they showed confidence and secured 7 rounds, but it was not enough for victory, and they lost 13-9.

The second map was Mirage, FaZe's pick, where the first half ended with a close score of 7-5 in favor of paiN. The second half mirrored the first, leading to extra rounds where paiN performed better and won with a score of 16-13.

The third map was Nuke, where the first half ended in a tie at 6-6. However, in the second half, FaZe showed confidence and won with a score of 13-8, advancing to the next round of the lower bracket.

In the next match, FURIA will play against the winner of the NAVI/Team Liquid matchup for seeding. Meanwhile, MOUZ drops to the lower bracket and will face the winner of the Complexity/Imperial matchup.

Unfortunately, for paiN, the tournament has ended, and they are the first to leave the tournament in 13-16th place, receiving $4,000. In contrast, FaZe progresses further and will face the loser of the NAVI/Liquid matchup.
