From courtrooms to gaming arenas, Minas Gerais lawyers in the battle for the CS2 trophy

Minas Gerais lawyers now have their own CS2 championship. This tournament has become part of the Minas Gerais Lawyers Games, known as E-JAM. The first edition of the championship will conclude on August 3 at the SESC Venda Nova in Belo Horizonte. This event has attracted attention due to its unusual combination of professional legal activities and cybersports.

Reasons for interest

The CS2 Championship for Lawyers brings a fresh perspective to the integration of traditional professions and modern cybersports. E-JAM offers a unique platform for lawyers to showcase their skills in the popular game and strengthen team spirit outside the courtroom. In addition, the event confirms the growing popularity of cybersports in the most unexpected areas of society.

Championship Details

The in-person finals will feature the teams from the Araguari and Caratinga subsections that performed the best in the online stage held on June 29 and 30. A total of X teams participated in the online stage, playing in a double elimination format.

Araguari Subsection was the "champion" of the online stage, winning all matches against Killers of the Law, Venda Nova and VORTEX-A (Caratinga). Caratinga qualified for the LAN finals by defeating Venda Nova in the playoffs and also defeating CS de Rua and Patronos da Bala.

The championship does not include a cash prize. The winning section will receive a trophy and medals, while the runners-up will receive only medals. In addition to the championship, E-JAM will host talk shows, master classes and a networking area, making the event even more attractive to participants and spectators.

Final thoughts

E-JAM is organized by the Minas Gerais Chapter of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/MB) and the Minas Gerais Lawyers Assistance Foundation, with the support of the Minas Gerais Federation of Electronic Sports (FEMEE). The event also includes the EA FC edition. This championship emphasizes the importance of cybersports in today's society, demonstrating its potential to bring together people from different professional fields and create new forms of interaction and cooperation.
