Fnatic Valorant parts ways with Sayonara after the OFF//SEASON 2024

Fnatic has officially parted ways with 16-year-old Ștefan "Sayonara" Mîtcu, who played two international tournaments with the team. The player will continue his career in the Challengers league.

A Short Stint with Fnatic

Following the end of the season and the opening of the transfer window with the announcement of off-season tournaments, Fnatic signed Ștefan "Sayonara" Mîtcu on a short-term basis to participate exclusively in the off-season. Despite his talent, the player is not yet eligible to compete in VCT events due to his age. After the completion of all tournaments, the organization bid him a warm farewell.

Tournament Performances

With the young talent Ștefan "Sayonara" Mîtcu, Fnatic participated in the Red Bull Home Ground #5, delivering a middling performance and failing to advance from the group stage after losses to Cloud9 and G2 Esports. Sayonara also played one match at Riot Games ONE 2024 against ZETA Division.

While Sayonara showed exceptional skill under pressure in certain matches, such as against Cloud9, his performance was inconsistent, and he currently lacks the experience required for Tier-1 competition. However, given his young age of 16, his potential is evident, and he has plenty of time to gain the necessary experience.
