For the first time in Counter-Strike history, two women's teams have received invitations to the FACEIT FPL (FACEIT Pro League), and one of them has also won a slot in Tier 1 of the BLAST tournament thanks to the Valve Ranking System (VRS) invitation system.
New achievements in women's CS:
Imperial fe
The team from Europe became the first female team to simultaneously receive an invitation to the FACEIT FPL and the right to compete in the Tier 1 tournament from BLAST due to their high positions in the VRS rankings. This is a significant result for their progress in professional CS2.
NAVI Javelins
The team of NAVI Javelins also received an invitation to FACEIT FPL. Thanks to their hard work and consistent results, the team has earned their place among the best.
Missed opportunities for FURIA Fe:
The Brazilian team FURIA Fe was also eligible for an invitation to the BLAST Bounty tournament due to its high ranking in VRS. However, the team was unable to take advantage of this opportunity due to Valve's rule that limits the number of teams from one organization in tournaments.
A historic moment for women's esports:
This breakthrough is an important milestone for women's teams in CS2. Being invited to prestigious platforms such as the FACEIT FPL opens up new horizons, allowing for more attention to be drawn to women's esports and motivating other players and teams.
Women's teams such as Imperial fe and NAVI Javelins are preparing for new challenges and will showcase their skills on the global stage, paving the way for the next generation of CS2 players.
