A new way of stopping smurf accounts has been added to the FACEIT platform. Reddit users drew attention to changes in the privacy policy of the service. There was no official announcement about changes in the rules of the platform.
According to the updated privacy policy, users can verify their account on FACEIT by sending documents confirming their identity, such as a passport or driver's license, to the service. The third-party service will store and process this data. However, this feature does not give players any advantages and is not mandatory. Players can withdraw their data anytime, but copies of the documents and the account on the platform will be deleted.
