After the Quarterfinal between MOUZ vs The Mongolz we spoke with Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin. Where he shared the situation in the team after the clutch from TheMongolZ at the beginning of the match, his individual form and his desired future opponent.
So the match started off with that 2v5 from The MongolZ. Mzinho's having a great game. Obviously you were crucial to the comeback, how do you keep your focus in that game to make that comeback?
We know that we can have slow starts sometimes. In the starting rounds, we lost pistol and the first weapon round, it's kinda tough to come back from that within the half. We won the second pistol and we just grinded out the rounds, basically. We did pretty good, especially on Ancient. We managed to come back from match point.
On Nuke, we just got some rounds and we knew our CT side is really good, so we had a ton of confidence.
Individually how do you feel about your performance today? Ancient was incredible and you followed it up with a solid Nuke.
To be honest, I don't know how I played. I had a little bit of a slow start on Ancient, but I think I did really good in the end. There were some nerves, of course, in the beginning of the game, I tried to handle it. And at the end it was really good. I played a really good T-side I think.
Spirit or Liquid will be your next opponent. You have a very good record against Spirit, beating them even when they were at their peak. Are you confident against whichever team comes out on top there?
Yeah, obviously if you want to win a Major, you have to beat out all the top teams. It doesn't really matter who we play, but I think we will play Spirit since that's the better team overall. As you said, we played them many times and we won majority of the games, so I think we are pretty comfortable. It's about who shows up in the game.
It's been one year since you joined MOUZ. How do you feel about your time in the team, and where do you think this team can go having already hit #1 in the rankings earlier in the year?
I think it's going pretty well, we're top 5 in the world consistently. I think I have played good this last month, but at the start of the second season I played really bad. I felt that I was letting my team down. That's why we dropped out of EPL early as well. I've tried to focus on my consistency and help the team more regularly. And that's honestly what we need to do in general. Be more consistent as a team, and the results will come.
