Eternal Fire - the champions of CCT Season 1 Global Finals

Today, the Turkish organization Eternal Fire defeated Team Liquid in the finals of the CCT Season 1 Global Finals, thereby securing first place in this championship! It cannot be said that Team Liquid was a tough opponent in the final.

The BO5 final ended after three maps were played, as no one could stop the Turks today. Eternal Fire beat their opponents with a 3:0 scoreline on maps.

The first map of the match was Inferno, Team Liquid's pick, on which they managed to win only 5 rounds, ending with a 13:5 score in favor of Eternal Fire. On Eternal Fire's pick, Anubis, Team Liquid fared twice as well, taking 10 rounds, but the Turks were still stronger and won with a score of 13:10.

The third map in this confrontation was Team Liquid's pick, namely Dust 2, but here the horses already managed to first take the game to overtime and then beat their opponents with a score of 13:11.

And finally, the last map of this confrontation was Nuke, which was won by Eternal Fire with a score of 16:14.

For this victory, Eternal Fire received $250,000, while Team Liquid went home with $100,000 in their pocket. The full prize distribution can be seen here. Interestingly, last year it was Eternal Fire who won the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals. Is CCT a new home for Eternal Fire?

The CCT Season 1 Global Finals took place from May 16 to 23, 2024. A total of 16 teams participated in this championship and shared a prize pool of $500,000.
