Diogo Jota wants to create a Counter-Strike 2 squad, according to one of his managers. The soccer player plans to open a lineup in one more discipline.
The footballer is the owner of the already existing organization Luna Galaxy, which has three squads in different disciplines, namely: PUBG, EA Sports FC (FIFA) and Rocket League. The past name of the organization was Diogo Jota Esports.
According to the manager Diogo Jota does not play Counter-Strike 2, but plans to create a lineup. This won't be the first time players have entered CS2 cybersport and most times have been successful, for example: Zinchenko with Passion UA, Agüero with KRU Esports,, Beckham with Guild Esports, Casemiro with Case Esports, Arthur Melo with Legacy for which the legendary player coldzera played.
How soon he will put together a lineup and what nationality it will be is still unknown. Recently his PUBG lineup with 4 Brazilians made it to Esports World Cup 2024. The tournament like all will be held in Riyadh with a prize pool of $2,000,000.

Diogo Jota himself has not yet commented in any way on the situation surrounding the potentially new lineup, but he was personally present at the Esports World Cup 2024 CS2 finals, between G2 and NAVI. Where NAVI became champions and earned $400,000.
The community reaction was positive and everyone recommended to sign themselves, which looks fun. Over 3 lineups and 3 disciplines they managed to earn $195,669 for prize money where the majority was earned from EA Sports FC, namely $168,688.
