IEM Cologne 2023 has come to an end, we have got to know the champion team, but we can't ignore those personalities who shone the brightest in one role or another. We have selected five players who made up our "dream team" of the past tournament.
Sniper– device
The legendary Danish four-time major champion Nicolai “device” Reedtz looked reminiscent of himself from four years ago during the period of Astralis' absolute dominance. His kill rate with the AWP was 0.451. It will certainly be interesting to see if he can maintain this performance in future events.
Entry Fragger – ZywOo
Several players managed to surpass Vitality's star Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut in both rating and kill count at IEM Cologne. Nevertheless, the Frenchman still made our "dream team" as an entry fragger - he secured the first kill at a rate of 0.167 per round.
Clutcher– sh1ro
All 12 of Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov's won clutches are either 1v1 or 1v2 situations. However, this doesn't diminish his achievements – often, a few such won situations can determine the outcome of a match. His understanding of the game makes him arguably one of the best clutch players in history.

MVP – NiKo
Nikola "NiKo" Kovač hadn't won an MVP title for almost three years – the last time he achieved this was in October 2020 at IEM New York Online: Europe for FaZe. Despite G2's victories in the last two years, it was often his teammates who were recognized as the best players of any given tournament. But today was different – winning the championship at IEM Cologne 2023 and his individual performance not only in the final but throughout the entire competition resulted in a 7.0 rating and, consequently, the tournament's best player medal.
IEM Cologne 2023 took place from July 26 to August 6 in Cologne, Germany. 24 teams played for a prize pool of $1,000,000. Detailed match statistics, final grid and more are available on the tournament page.
