Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, a Vitality player, has expressed his displeasure on social media over the fact that teams will have to play on a new update at the upcoming IEM Dallas 2024 tournament.
IEM Dallas 2024 will take place from May 27 to June 2, where 16 teams will battle it out for a prize pool of $250,000. However, amidst the preparations for this significant event, apEX noted that no team is practicing on the updated Vertigo map.
“Is it possible to install CS on the iPhone? Since we're playing the new update, the new Vertigo, I have to theorize. What a nice solution =),” apEX wrote on his Twitter. He emphasized that it just goes to show how bad it is to play on the new updated map with 0 praccs on it.
Ofc I don’t need it on my phone, just showing how bad it is to play the new updated map with 0

The game update affecting the Vertigo map was released recently and teams have not had enough time to adapt and develop new strategies. Earlier, the organizers of MESA announced that their tournament will be played on the old update.
In light of these circumstances, we can only hope that the tournament organizers will listen to the player's opinion and take into account these mistakes in the future and will not force players to play on the new update, when the update has not even passed a week.
