Imperial signed the Pigeons' top women's lineup

Brazilian organization Imperial has announced the signing of Team Pigeons roster. This is the first time they will be playing under the Imperial banner at the upcoming ESL Impact League Season 5 Finals.

This news puts an end to the organization's search for a suitable women's team. After a long partnership that began in September 2021, the reigning ESL Impact champions parted ways with Nigma Galaxy on February 14.

Despite the lack of support from the organization for several months, the Pigeons were able to successfully qualify their group for ESL Impact Europe and qualify for the upcoming finals in Dallas. However, they have lost twice to NAVI Javelins team in recent months, which could signal a change in leadership in women's Counter-Strike.

In Dallas, Team Imperial will be looking to win their fifth Impact title in the past few seasons. The event will also mark Zainab “zAAz⁠” Turkie's LAN tournament debut for the team, after replacing Ksenia “vilga⁠” Kluenkova.

ESL Impact League Season 5 will start on May 31 and run until June 2, during which time the top 8 women's teams will battle it out for $123,000.
