Alliance signed a new player to their CS2 roster

Swedish organization Alliance, has signed a new player to their CS2 roster. To replace the previously departed captain Robin “robiin” Sjögren is a former player of the British organization Viperio, Markus “upE” Johansson.

UpE was not a captain in the previous team, but after joining Alliance, he may become one, as the role is vacant in the team. The organization and the player have not commented on his new role.

Markus joined Viperio in April 2024 after successful appearances in Kappa Bar and Prodigies SE, where Viperio identified him as a promising player. At the end of the player break, Alliance contacted Viperio about a possible acquisition of Markus. After a quick trial and negotiations, Viperio and Alliance were able to come to an agreement whereby Markus was bought out for an undisclosed sum.

Alliance signed their first roster in 2023, during which time they managed to earn $27,358 in prize money. After failing to qualify for PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, the team played together for another 5 months, after which the organization decided to drastically change the structure by changing the captain.

Robiin's stats for the last 3 months is 5.7, which is one of the worst, because Niclas “Plessen” PlesseN and Jonathan “b0denmaster” Bodenmalm have the same. The best player statistically is Simon “twist” Eliasson and Arvid “avid” Åberg with again the same rating of 5.9. In the new squad the team has already played two matches, within Betera Vibe City, where they won 1 victory and 1 defeat. The win was against RUBY with a score of 2-0 and the loss was against the underrated team with the same score of 0-2.

I would like to thank Marcus for his dedication and professionalism in the short time he has been with us. He has a great attitude and I am sure he will be a great asset to his new team. We all wish him all the best for his future
” said Viperio head coach, Daniel ‘papp’ Hart

It's also interesting that Alliance have not published official information about the upE transition yet, but the information appeared on Viperio's website. The next match of the new squad will be held in the same tournament, where they will again play against underrated for a chance to make the playoffs. The main prize at the tournament is $7,000 and the tournament runs until August 4.
