Alliance is launching a new academy through Esportal to find young talent in Counter-Strike 2. Swedish players under the age of 18 can register on Tele2 Alliance for a chance to sign up for a six-month contract with the Alliance academy.
This is a unique opportunity for young players to break into cybersport, NAVI previously held a similar selection process for NAVI Junior, which b1t qualified for and is now a two-time major champion as well as a NAVI core player.
Founded in 2013, Alliance is a well-known cybersports organization in Sweden. Despite the establishment of the organization in 2013, the CS roster didn't appear until 2023. During the year of existence, the team managed to take 3 first places and earn more than $27,358.
Registration opens July 18 on Esportal. Players must be under the age of 18, and those who will turn 18 in 2024 can participate. However, players who will turn 19 during the year cannot participate.
Participants will compete in a league on Esportal from August 1 to September 1. The top 8 players, as well as 12 outstanding players selected by Twist, Hawk and core team players, will advance to the next stage. From September 8-23, the 20 selected players will go through training sessions, play against each other and practice with the main team under Hawk's guidance.
On September 28, 8 of the 20 players will play in exhibition matches, which will be streamed live on Twitch with Tutsi. On October 10, the final 5 players who will be signed to the Tele2 Alliance Academy team will be announced.
The selected academy players will receive training, travel and accommodation during the events, as well as the fastest internet from Tele2 for free for one year. The academy provides a springboard into professional eSports, offering visibility and opportunities for growth in CS2.
If you get into the academy, players will have a unique opportunity to break into a professional team. With Valve's new update, the interest in academies may grow in the future.
