The moment we have all been waiting for has finally arrived. Riot Games has released their Noxus cinematic trailer to launch a brand new season in League of Legends, and you can be absolutely sure that it was a banger. It was already extremely hyped to begin with. The reason being Fortiche is the engine behind this incredible cinematic. Fortiche worked on some of LoL's biggest hits such as Arcane and the K/DA animations.

Let's do a quick recap of what went down during the Noxus cinematic for League of Legends Season 2025.

LoL Noxus Cinematic Bite Marks Recap

At the very beginning of the cinematic, we see Mel Medarda, a prominent figure from the Noxus region in the hit Netflix series Arcane. At the end of the series, we saw Mel as she took over the Mantle from her mother, who lost her life in the finale of the show. Mel is on her way back to Noxus, but the road ahead is not easy.

The second storyline being told is a fight between Darius, one of the most feared warriors in the Noxus region. We saw Darius emerge from the pack to take on Trundle, who looked absolutely fantastic in animated form, Fortiche did an incredible job with the visuals in this cinematic it was truly stunning.

The third story involved Katarina, who was in disguise trying to take down what appears to be a member of the Black Rose, an underground organization who Katarina is trying to take down. She's unable to strike the boss, with Elise stopping her in her tracks. The pair take part in one of the best fights across the entire cinematic.

Katarina and Elise were evenly matched, and if Riot is going ahead toward a Noxus-themed series, then it will be exciting to see these two tango on the big screen.

The cinematic concluded with the League of Legends logo fading into the mist, as Vladimir and LeBlanc, who appear to have a partnership of some sort, talk about their next plot. It confirms that this cinematic took place after the events of Arcane, with the pair scheming their next attack. LeBlanc talks about being bolder, so we are in for a treat later down the line.

League of Legends officially kicks off its new season Thursday, January 9 with Patch 25.S1.1. Players can expect many changes to come into affect such as the additions to the map, the changes to the items, the Noxus themed season, and more.
