Arena Returns to League of Legends: What's New to Expect in March?

Riot Games in a recent DEV-Update officially confirmed the return of the beloved mode - Arena! In March, alongside the second Act of the Season, players will be able to test their skills again in fast-paced 2v2v2v2 battles, but with a number of important changes.

Updated Maps and the New Equalizer Arena

All arenas will receive visual changes - now the battles will be watched by strict Noxian spectators. The Koi Lake map underwent a complete redesign, and along with it, Riot is adding a brand new location - the Equalizer Arena, where the key mechanic will be destructible pillars that add dynamics to the fight.

Departure from Cameo: Now on Stage, Honored Guests

The Cameo system will disappear, but in its place will come Honored Guests – characters who will change the rules of the battle for one round. For example, Mordekaiser will be able to send two random players to his "Realm of Death," and only one will return. The choice of the Guest will be made through player voting.
