Knight after victory over G2: "This time I want to take revenge on Faker"

Bilibili Gaming’s mid laner Knight shared his thoughts after qualifying for the main stage of MSI 2025. Speaking after the match, he explained the reasoning behind the Veigar pick into Twisted Fate, praised the impact of new jungler Beichuan on the team’s coordination, and outlined his goals for the tournament — including a potential rematch with Faker and a promise to win the title for BLG.

Former champion, new challenge

Knight joined BLG during the offseason after winning MSI 2023 with JD Gaming. This year, BLG entered the play-in stage of MSI 2025, which made them play an extra round to reach the Bracket Stage. Now, after a 3:0 victory over G2 Esports, they’ve secured their spot in the main stage — with Knight as the team’s engine in mid lane.

With new jungler Beichuan in the lineup, team synergy became a key theme during the play-in. Knight confirmed that coordination was something they’d been actively working on, both in practice and on stage.

Strategic preparation, personal mission

One of the main highlights of their win was the surprise pick of Veigar into Twisted Fate — a calculated decision made during scrims. Knight explained how the team had prepared the pick and why it felt appropriate for this matchup:

In scrims and in normal practices, we had already prepared the Veigar pick, and we felt like it could be a very good counter to Twisted Fate in the mid lane.

Still, not everything went smoothly. Knight noted the pressure from Twisted Fate’s map presence caused some issues:

In the game, we felt like Twisted Fate was always missing around the map, so it was a little bit troublesome for us.

A major talking point for BLG this season has been the arrival of Beichuan, a mechanical talent with little international experience. Knight sees him as a developing force:

Beichuan is a great player… He can do a super good job in both mechanics and macro. What he may have lacked before this moment was experience — especially in international events.

As the tournament moves to the main stage, Knight’s eyes are firmly set on one player — Faker. The two have met before on the MSI stage, and Knight is hungry to rewrite the result:

I’d like to face off against Faker at this MSI, because last time we lost against him in a best-of-five. So this time, I want to try my best to take revenge.

Now part of BLG’s core, Knight says he’s ready to lead them to what they couldn’t achieve last year:

Back in 2023, I beat BLG in the Grand Final. So this time, I’ll take the responsibility to help my team bring the trophy back to BLG.

Knight joined Bilibili Gaming after winning MSI 2023 with JD Gaming. With roster changes including the addition of jungler Beichuan, BLG aims to improve team synergy and claim their first international title — this time with Knight as their centerpiece.

Mid-Season Invitational 2025 takes place from June 27 to July 12 in Canada, with a prize pool of $2,000,000. You can follow the news, schedule, and results of the tournament via this link.
