Gen.G became the first finalist in the upper bracket of the Mid-Season Invitational 2025, defeating Anyone's Legend with a score of 3:2. After an intense five-map series, the Korean giant showed composure in the decisive game and now awaits the opponent in the match for a spot in the grand final, which will be the winner of the T1/Bilibili Gaming match.
The series began with a disastrous draft by Gen.G, allowing Anyone's Legend to seize the initiative and effectively shut down Ruler on Jhin, as the Chinese team confidently took the first map. However, Gen.G quickly recovered: the second and third maps were closely contested, but the Koreans were always one step ahead thanks to better macro and team fight execution.
Anyone's Legend tied the score again, surprising their opponent with an unexpected Smolder pick for Flandre on the fourth map. But in the decisive fifth game, Gen.G showed absolute dominance — even despite one successful mid-game moment from AL, the Korean team completely controlled the game, finishing the series with a confident 3:2 victory.

The best player of the series was undoubtedly Gen.G's toplaner — Kiin. His lane stability, timely teleports, and brilliant play in team fights repeatedly became key factors in Gen.G's success. He was the mainstay of the team in critical moments of the series and deservedly received the MVP title of the match.
