GIANTX Pride strengthens their roster for the new Superliga (LVP) season with a key addition: Turkish jungler Hakan "Ferret" Çakmak, a multiple champion of the Turkish Championship League (TCL), has joined the team.
According to Sheep Esports, Ferret has reached a verbal agreement with the Spanish club shortly after his former teammate from FUT Esports, support Park "Lospa" Jun-hyeon, joined GIANTX Pride. The duo, who has already worked together in TCL, is expected to bring fresh energy and synergy to the team.
Four-time TCL champion Ferret boosts GIANTX Pride ahead of the Superliga season
Ferret is renowned for his achievements with the Istanbul Wildcats, with whom he claimed the TCL championship four times - in Winter 2021, Winter and Summer 2022, as well as Summer 2023. However, his performances on the international stage have been less successful: Ferret participated in two Mid-Season Invitationals and the 2022 World Championship, but due to tough matches, the team exited the tournaments at early stages.
In the new season, Ferret will join mid-laner Jeong "Feisty" Seong-hun and AD carry Berat "Aetinoth" Tıknazoğlu. The GIANTX Pride team is hopeful that their mix of local and international talents will help elevate their standing in the Superliga and become serious contenders for top positions.
