Every LoL character that died in Arcane Season 2 Act 3
Every LoL character that died in Arcane Season 2 Act 3

The hit League of Legends animated series Arcane has sadly come to an end in an emotional way. The remaining characters have all gone their separate ways after the climactic finale that saw many characters perish while others were triumphant. It was an epic conclusion to the series that touched the hearts of many. Arcane told many stories across its 18 episodes, from a loving family to a heroic child sacrificing themselves for the greater good.

The finale for Arcane is where we will put our focus, as there were many storylines and character arcs that were finished at the end of the final three episodes. Let's take a look at every League of Legends character that died during the final Act of Arcane Season 2.

Heimerdinger

Heimerdinger's death was felt around the world considering just earlier in the act he treated us to an amazing performance that wanted me begging for a full Heimerdinger album to be released. During the episode that led to his unfortunate demise, you could see the writing was on the wall from the beginning, Heimerdinger was far less concerned about returning back to his main world after discovering there is more to life than being a solo inventor. Across the series, he acted as a mentor to Ekko and felt it was his duty to sacrifice himself to the Arcane in order to allow Ekko to continue with what would be a lifesaving mission during the finale.

Ambessa

Ambessa was blinded by her conflict within and was killed by the daughter she had sworn she was protecting. She was unable to save her son from the black rose, and that very same power was what killed her in the end. Ambessa was blinded by the sheer will to start a war in Piltover, and it was her own arrogance that got her killed. She did realize the value of her daughter in the end, but it was already too late, her injuries led to her death, forcing her daughter to take up the mantle as the new leader in Noxus.

Maddie

Although death is no laughing matter, cheers were heard around the world when Maddie bit the dust in the finale of Arcane. Ambessa warned Caitlyn early on about having a relationship with an officer within her own ranks. It was that same relationship that almost saw the end of Caitlyn. Thankfully, Mel's new barrier ability saw Maddie's bullet ricochet off the barrier and straight through her own skull, a satisfying ending to this traitor.

Loris

Loris met his unfortunate ending at the battle of Piltover when multiple Noxian arrows came hurdling toward the Hexgate cannons. Loris didn't have a major role in the second season of Arcane, he was first discovered by Vi as a drunk, this is how a friendship quickly formed as Vi was dealing with her own problems following the funeral of Caitlyn's mother. When Caitlyn took over as the commander, Loris abandoned his post as he did not believe in the vision he once signed up for. In the end, Loris returned as he aimed to defend the city from the Noxus invasion.

Jayce + Viktor

Jayce was one of the main characters in Arcane along with his best friend Viktor. Therefore it's only fitting to talk about them as a pair rather than having their own individual sections. Jayce sacrificed himself to stop Viktor from destroying the world that the pair previously worked so hard to build. Viktor had gone over the edge, blinded by his personal vision of how the world should be with his new powers. If it wasn't for Ekko, Viktor would have accomplished his mission, and who knows what would have happened after that. Although Jayce had no plans of dying, he understood the assignment, the only way to save the world was to take him and his brother-in-arms Viktor out of it. They came into the show as brothers and they left the show as brothers.

Jinx

Probably the hardest death to take in the Arcane series, depending on who you ask, is the death of Jinx. With this new version of Warwick hell-bent on taking them down, Jinx sacrificed herself so that her sister could live. In the end, that is all that Jinx wanted, for her sister to be happy. This is hard to take considering all Vi wanted was to be with her sister again, but Jinx saw it differently as she knew Caitlyn would not forgive Jinx for killing her mother at the end of Season 1.
