505 Games and Leenzee Games have officially announced that the long-awaited soulslike title Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will be released on July 24, 2025. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store. Moreover, it will be accessible day one via Xbox Game Pass.

A Dark Adventure Set in the Ming Dynasty

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a single-player action RPG in the soul-like genre, taking place in Shu during a period of the decay of the Ming Dynasty. The player takes on the character of Bai Wuchang, a pirate with amnesia and a strange condition called “Feathering” that slowly turns her into a beast. Players fight gruesome monsters, discover the backstory of the protagonist, and move through dark, atmospheric environments like old temples and ruined landscapes.

Combat System and Gameplay Mechanics

• Weapons and Magic: Players will have access to 25 weapon types and 40 spells, allowing them to mix and match to create a unique combat style.
• “Inner Demon” System: Upon death or slaying an enemy, Bai Wuchang can trigger her Inner Demon, boosting her abilities but increasing vulnerability. If she dies while the demon is active, it will spawn as a powerful enemy at the location of her death.
• Non-linear Narrative: Player choices significantly affect the story’s progression, leading to multiple possible endings.

Pre-orders for the game opened on April 29, 2025. Players who pre-order will receive the “Night & White Pack,” which includes:
