The "Road to Unova" event, taking place between February 24 and March 1, 2025, gives trainers a great opportunity for getting themselves ready for the major event, Go Tour: Unova.

Event Highlights

Wild Encounters: The originally discovered in the Unova region, for example, Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott, and their evolutions, can be found in the wild more frequently.

Raids on Legendary Pokémon, such as Genesect, Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion, among others, can be encountered in five-star raids. The cap for remote raids is increased to 20 between February 24 and 28, 2025, and there is no cap between March 1 and 2, 2025.

Eggs of Timburr, Shelmet, Karrablast, Larvesta, and Roggenrola hatch. Egg hatch distance is halved for all eggs for the entire event.

Special Timed Research provides rewards, for example, Legendary Pokémon appearances when a raid is completed. There are other event-related tasks which grant rewards.

Event Passes can be bought, which provide additional rewards, special tasks, and new in-game item appearances. For example, there is a "Road to Unova: Raids" pass for a price of $5.00, which provides in-game content such as special tasks and rewards such as raiding additional experience and an additional number of Raid Passes.

Shiny Meloetta: The Masterwork Research ticket, which leads to a Shiny Meloetta encounter, can be purchased anywhere in the globe when the "Road to Unova" event starts.
