The Krakoa map in Marvel Rivals reimagines the domination mode with a multi-point control system, living landscapes, and a dual-narrative approach. Players will battle on the living island of Krakoa, filled with bioluminescent flora and exquisite statues of X-Men legends like Professor X and Magneto.

New Portals on the Krakoa Map

The main feature of the Krakoa map is the Krakoa portals, a new movement mechanic available exclusively to mutant heroes. These teleportation gates are directly inspired by the flower portals from the original Marvel lore. In the game, the portals have a cooldown system, visual and audio cues, and may require capturing a control point or "channeling" before activation.

The events on the map take place during the high-profile Hellfire Gala event. On one side, Emma Frost hosts a lavish celebration of mutant culture. On the other, Ultron disrupts the festivities, causing chaos with an army of robots.
