Season 3.5 of Marvel Rivals launches on August 8, 2025, bringing significant changes to the team ability system. The update introduces a new hero — Blade — reworks several character synergies, and removes outdated combinations. New Team Abilities

• Duality Dance (Luna Snow & Adam Warlock): Luna absorbs incoming damage and releases it as a powerful blast, amplified by Warlock’s cosmic powers.
• Vibrant Vitality (Mantis, Loki & Groot): Mantis boosts nearby allies, Loki enhances their damage, and Groot’s walls provide healing.

Updated Team Combos

• Chilling Assault: Now includes Iron Fist, whose presence enables healing for both himself and allies.
• Rocket Network: Star-Lord now joins Rocket and Peni Parker, deploying a teleport beacon every 30 seconds for tactical repositioning.
• Lunar Force: Blade now teams up with Cloak, Dagger, and Moon Knight. Their synergy grants invisibility and health regeneration.
• Ragnarok Rebirth: Loki has been removed from this combo. Only Thor and Hela can now activate this synergy.

Removed Synergies

• Guardian Revival: The combo between Adam Warlock and either Mantis or Star-Lord has been removed.
• Atlas Bond: The synergy between Iron Fist and Luna Snow is no longer available.

Blade — The New Duelist Hero

Blade joins the roster on August 8 as a duelist hero. His kit includes a shotgun, sword, dash attack, and an area-of-effect ultimate that reduces enemy healing. He’s also part of the revamped Lunar Force synergy.

New Mode and Map

• Starting August 22, the new Resource Rumble mode will go live.
• It takes place on the Throne of Knull map. Initially available in quick matches, it will later be added to ranked play.

Community and Quality-of-Life Features

• Voice chat is now automatically moderated for toxic behavior.
• You can now filter specific words in text chat.
• Stricter penalties are introduced for quitting ranked matches, with compensation for teammates.
• Fewer votes are needed to forfeit a match.

Performance Improvements

• Shader loading now happens in the lobby on PC, reducing match startup times.
