Kuala Lumpur, December 15 2024 – The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M6 World Championship brought down its curtain in Malaysia with a lot of excitement as Fnatic ONIC from the Philippines was crowned the champion. Defeating 23 other teams which were considered to be the best from around the world, Fnatic ONIC got their hands on the majority of the $1,000,000 prize pool and also cemented their position as the top team in the MLBB esports circuit.

The tournament went for a duration of 15th December 2024 which was from 30th November to 15th December and it was held in two prime locations namely the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Center for the group stages and the Axiata Arena for the playoffs and grand final.

Prize Pool Distribution

The $1,000,000 prize pool was divided among the top-performing teams as follows:

1st place: Fnatic ONIC (Philippines) – $320,000

2nd place: Team Liquid (Indonesia) – $150,000

3rd place: Selangor Red Giants (Malaysia) – $90,000

Kelra Named Finals MVP

The Finals MVP award went to Kelra, the star player from Fnatic ONIC. His outstanding gameplay and leadership were pivotal in the team’s 4-1 victory over Team Liquid in the grand final. Known for his precise mechanics and clutch decision-making, Kelra delivered a series of standout performances throughout the tournament, cementing his place as one of the world’s top MLBB players.

Tournament Highlights

The M6 World Championship used a Swiss-system format during the group stage, where teams competed until securing three wins or losses. The top teams then advanced to the double-elimination playoffs, which provided high-stakes matchups and dramatic outcomes.

Fnatic ONIC stood out as the tournament’s dominant force, remaining undefeated throughout all stages. They demonstrated impeccable adaptability and synergy, securing three crucial victories against Team Liquid, including their grand final triumph.
