NetEase Games has officially announced that on April 17, 2025, two unexpected new skins for Doctor Strange and Peni Parker will be available in the Marvel Rivals game store. They will be part of a special crossover event titled 'Clash of Myth and Madness'.
Doctor Strange – Multiverse of Madness Skin
Inspired by the grim, zombie-like appearance of Doctor Strange from the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), this new skin transforms the Sorcerer Supreme into a fearsome warrior. Torn clothing, decayed hands, and a ghastly wound on the face all contribute to a truly terrifying battlefield look.
Peni Parker – Yatsukahagi Skin
The new Peni Parker skin draws inspiration from Japanese folklore, specifically the spider spirit Tsuchigumo. Peni's mech is now adorned with an orange oni mask, sharp claws, and traditional design elements. Peni herself wears a fur hat and traditional Japanese attire, adding authenticity and style to her look.
Although official prices for the new skins have not been specified, it can be assumed that the approximate cost will be similar to previous premium skins that have appeared in Marvel Rivals:
Item | Approximate Price |
Individual Skin | 1,400 Units |
Full Bundle (Skin, MVP animation, emote, spray, nameplate) | 1,600 – 2,200 Units |
To purchase the new character skins when they are released, you need to:
Additionally, from Season 2, a new feature has been introduced in the game — the ability to gift skins to friends.
Players will be able to purchase these skins directly in the in-game store for units, which can be earned or bought in Marvel Rivals.
